Samsung expert reveals some hidden secrets to improve your phone's performance

According to The Sun, in an effort to boost your phone’s performance, Samsung 's smartphone product manager, Kadish Bickford, has responded to some hidden secrets, which will help save you hundreds of dollars in the end.

As the cost of a good phone nowadays is so massive it is a money saving wise to ensure that the phone is used (at least till its worth gets less than twice price you paid) for as long as possible because over the time it can get replaced or sold for some money.

He is in exclusive talk with Pickford, and explained some of the easy tips to keep any user informed and we are going to discuss some of the important points which came out from the interview.

Getting the most out of your battery

All the battery in smartphones will degrade with time, this is the natural process that happens with any battery, but the only thing to be done with it is to delay it eliminating the need for expensive battery replacement.

“Once your device figures out what you do it takes those patterns and if I turn on battery protection you actually have three modes: basic mode, adaptive mode and maximum battery protection.”

And this is where you see that if you buy a new Samsung phone, it is normally set up in Basic Mode -- that is Mode where the phone’s battery can be charged to 100 percent of its battery capacity, and last time very convenient for users, but draining its life over time, said he.

This is because, Beckford explains, the battery cells are abused repeatedly, and their ability to store energy diminishes, hence giving less performance, which is something most users don’t expect.

In terms of Adaptive Battery Mode, the phone will discharge at 80% of charge when you are asleep, and switch to standard mode when you wake up, whereas Maximum Protection Mode will stop at 80% charge in all cases.

But most of the Android phones have similar battery saving modes in place and iPhones even have the features.

Provide additional storage space

Any smartphone with apps, videos and photos stored on it for years can quickly turn into a problem to find space on it. The closest you could get to cloud storage like Google Drive is that which still costs money.

There is a secret trick if you’re running low cow storage and need an instant fix. “On my phone, we can manipulate the RAM that helps speed up apps and the phone’s performance in general,” Bickford said.

"But its only shortcoming is that performing the operation reduces the phone's performance, something that Samsung calls RAM Plus that cleans up the space fast."

Thus, you can easily have instant space without having to delete anything, to do this, go to Device Care settings, Memory, then you hit RAM Plus, from there you select space you require, when you select lesser level, you will get more storage space, though the performance of your device will decreases as a result.

Keep your phone up to date

Samsung has promised 7 major Android updates and 7 major security updates while some other companies only offer 4 major updates. You’d wanna have the updates as such that hackers cannot access your phone and your apps can work properly.

Since they give major updates on an annual basis, you win there since you won’t need to buy a new phone and save hundreds of dollars for at least next four years when you follow these updates as well taking care of the phone and battery.
